Nassib Chamoun
Founder and CEO
Creating a new life
As a teenager living in Beirut, Nassib experienced the horror of a civil war that divided and destroyed the once-beautiful city. He narrowly escaped execution by militants and lived with the constant danger of sniper crossfire, and the terror of relentless shelling. He was able to leave the violence behind by enrolling in Northeastern University and then went on to graduate studies at Boston University and the Harvard School of Public Health.
During this time, Nassib met two men who would become his life-long friends and mentors: the late Bernard Lown, MD, pioneering cardiologist, humanitarian, and Nobel Peace Prize winner, and the late Charlie Zraket, former CEO of Mitre Corp. Both nurtured his love of data-driven problem solving and inspired him to focus his life’s work on finding insights to complex questions that will have a positive impact on society.
